Spring Update

During the spring semester at BSC, Lime participated in a few on campus events sponsored by the Social Justice League (SJL), including this year's Just Trade Fair and Arts for Advocacy trade shows.

At these events we were given the opportunity to put some of our designs up for sale for the general public and other trade show participants.

Wanting to make an impact ourselves, we bid on and won this awesome painting by Haitian born painter Gary P.

Gary's painting challenges the status quo view of a major theological figure and encourages progressive thinking and racial unity. We will look to Gary's painting often for inspiration.

As for our silent competition, sorry but when Lime sees something it wants, Lime finds a way.

So we bought an awesome painting and sold some shirts along the way, too. At Arts for Advocacy, one customer had to come back three times before she was satisfied.

The generosity on display at both of these events was inspiring: artists helping artists.

We look forward to more opportunities like these as summer heads our way. In the meantime, keep your eyes peeled for Lime in the Standard Times [http://www.southcoasttoday.com/apps/pbcs.dll/article?AID=%2F20100520%2FNEWS%2F5200348] and check out Lime's recent appearance on the Cataldo Show:
